| Being born into a family full of musicians on the island Sylt/Germany, I started out playing instruments when I was very young. After years of playing the violin and the piano, I fell in love with the guitar at the age of 13 and just sang along with it. At the same time I started working on my first songs, which I started to perform at local music contests at the age of 15. My songs at this time were very influenced by Irish Folk, which I had been playing in a band for a while. After spending one year in California/USA, I started to write pretty much all my songs in english and as well started playing in Rock Bands, Jazz Bands and performing with other artists. For the last few years I've been performing on a weekly basis in Germany as a solo artist, and at times with my latest band.Two years ago I was able to fulfill myself the dream of recording my first CD with 9 of my own songs: "Trapped in Paradise". You can find ballads and fast songs on my album, but I decided to keep everything acoustic, because that's what my music is all about: Voice and Guitar. My songs are influences by friends, family, thoughts, things that happen, pretty much everything that surrounds me.Until April of 2007 I spent one semester in Montevideo/Uruguay to study and learn spanish so I hope that on the next album you'll find some spanish songs.If you're interested in my album, write to info@lizree.com for purchase information, if not just enjoy listening to what's up here:)****************************************************** *********************************** El hecho de haber nacido en una familia de músicos, en las isla Sylt/Alemania, llevó a que Liz empezara a tocar diversos instrumentos desde niña así como a actuar frente a audiencias. Durante varios años tocó el piano y el violín pero sus experimentos con la guitarra a los 13 años comenzaron a marcar sus preferencias musicales. Escribió sus primeras canciones y comenzó a presentarlas en público a los 14 años. Estilísticamente estaba influenciada por el Irish Folk, ya que integraba apasionadamente hacía unos años una banda de ése género. Su año de residencia en California le permitió pulir su inglés, la lengua en que ya escribía la mayor parte de sus canciones, al tiempo que integraba bandas de rock, jazz y a actuaba con otros artistas. En los últimos años Liz ha estado actuando regularmente en Alemania como solista y continúa actuando también con su grupo. "Trapped in Paradise" fué su primer trabajo como solista, y contiene 9 temas escritos por la artista. Sus fragmentos se mueven entre baladas y temas más intensos pero siempre protagonizados por lo acústico, su guitarra y su voz. Las temáticas que Liz elige a la hora de escribir están relacionadas con sus experiencias de vida, sus amigos y familia. Despues de vivir 8 meses en Montevideo/Uruguay, Liz empezó de dar sus primeros pasos como compositora de canciones en Español.
