About Me |
click here to learn more I'm outgoing, friendly, opinionated, honest (in a very blunt way), have a big heart, love animals, Vegetarian (for 15 years, no I don't "miss the meat"), I'm a Raging Liberal - this will never change!! For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm making a real difference and it's the first time my job isn't "important". Being a Mortgage Funder was "important" and I was very good at it, but now, owning an eco and animal-friendly cleaning business, I'm making an impact (oddly enough, by not impacting the planet in a negative way). I'm very sarcastic - people either love me right away or think I'm too outspoken and need to be tamed. I'm a double fire sign and embrace every bit of what that means. My Chinese Horoscope says I'm Chivalrous, my friends are life-long and I'm prone to marital strife - these are all true. My best friend of nearly 20 years is a guy- get over it! I have traveled extensively and don't really understand people that don't like to travel. I've had a heartbreakingly beautiful life, experienced a tremendous amount of pain - but even greater amounts of overwhelming joy.
and because I have a daugther, sisters, a mother, aunts, cousins, girlfriends...

I'd like to meet:I'm always happy to meet new friends, especially animal and eco friendly people, activists and the politically pissed off. I am madly in love with my soulmate Noah, so please be respectful. I'd like to meet: George W Bush - so I can kick him in the balls! My dad, 17 years ago, before he died, so I could tell him everything I forgot to when he was alive. My children, 15 years from now, so I can see if they will grow up to be the wonderful people I think they'll be - or if having me as their mother completely ruined them forever.
Music:Cat Stevens - cuz he's looking for a hard-headed woman! I heart music, but my favorites list is way too long. |
Movies:My list is too long. Netflix has loved me since they opened. I go between having 3 unwatched movies at home for months at a time and going through 6 movies in a week. |
Television:SciFi Channel every year during the Twilight Zone Marathon, History Channel, National Geographic, Discovery, and CSPAN occasionally when I'm feeling angry anyway...HTML Codes at MySpace ToolBox |
Books:The Animal Liberation - changed my life, The Mad Cowboy - confirms what I already knew, The PostSecret books - cuz I have some stuff in there, America the Book - who doesn't like this book?, Letter to a Christian Nation (I think this should be REQUIRED reading), anything by Al Franken, anything by David Sedaris and absolutely everything by Chuck Palahniuk...Howard F. Lyman - MAD COWBOY: Plain Truth from the Cattle Rancher Who Won't E... Peter Singer - Animal Liberation MySpace Book Lists at MySpace Toolbox ! |

Heroes:I love that show!Nothing will benefit health or increase chances of survival of life on Earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. All the arguments to prove human superiority cannot shatter this hard fact: in suffering, the animals are our equals. To avoid causing terror to living beings, let the disciple refrain from eating meat. The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for whites or women for men. Spiritual progress does demand at some stage
that we should cease to kill our fellow creatures
for the satisfaction of our bodily wants. "You must be the change you wish to see in the world"
