| Brave is a Washington, DC based progressive rock/metal band that began making music in late 1996 under the name arise from thorns. They released a self titled album "arise from thorns" in 1998, and a second album entitled "before an audience of stars" in 1999. The band changed their name to Brave in 2000, and released an EP entitled "waist deep in dark waters," followed by a full-length "searching for the sun" in 2002. The most recent Brave recording is "passages," which was released in 2004. All except the "arise from thorns" CD are available at www.bravemusic.com .
