These guys, aside from being incredible friends and downright good people are just amazing at what they do. The day would not have been the same without them.504 BIO I am blessed. I am happily married to a beautiful and supportive woman, have an awesome yet slightly dysfunctional family. I was born in Wichita Kansas on a rainy afternoon in November, the year however remains a mystery. Early on I lived abroad, mostly Germany because my father was in the military. I came to life, however in the birthplace of my parents, New Orleans, La. That's home for me. Alway has been, always will be, no matter where I rest my head most nights. I grew up at 2027 St. Ann Street and spent many of my child/teen nights, sneaking out of the back door, heading down Orleans Ave, shortcut through Armstrong Park to hang in the Quarter with my friends. I am a New Orleanian for life even , after death. I have played music in some form or another, on one instrument or another since the age of 7...or 8 and the cat that "did it" for me was Prince. The list is longer than that but he was the first cat I was listening to and realized what I wanted to be for the rest of my life. Besides, the people who really actually inspire me are my family and friends and people I meet along the way. I am a professional bassist and bass instructor in the Bay Area. And, since relocating here from New Orleans I have had the great pleasure of playing with and building friendships with some of the Bay's most talented singers songwriters and artists.One of my proudest moments of the last few months was hitting the stage at Hillary Clinton's Rally in downtown Oakland with Nya Jade in front of around 14,000 folks. And, aside from that, (not bragging, just proud to have been there and ready) I have been a first call choice for many area producers including Grammy winner Josh Tone Weaver (Green Day / Santana)(the first %100, genuine article producer I ever met, really). I was one first on the list for touring artists like New Jersey based alternative rock/pop artist Granian [www.granian.com - now known as "kill the alarm"] well known, locally based artists like Femi and Tekitha (of the Wu Tang Clan). Since late 2000 I have been to Nya Jade what Lee Sklar has been to James Taylor. Nya's video, "One Pill" can be seen in regular rotation on Vh1 Soul and MTVu. I have also been lucky enough to have shared stages over the years with Outkast, the Black Eyed Peas, Evanescence, Maroon 5, The Donnas, Latoya London, the Dave Mathews Band, the Roots, Longview, Crossfade, Better than Ezra, Collective Soul, the Dresdon Dolls and Raphael Saadiq . I've also played and recorded with members of Smashmouth and members of Michael Bolton, Shania Twain, Janet Jackson & David Bowie's backing bands. And, if you're at all curious I can currently be found in around the Bay Area with Nya Jade and many others. I'm really awful about posting shows BUT, If you're there, please stop by and say hello!
