Calambrin, a pioneer of electronic music in Mx., began his career as a Dj in the mid 80s. With more than 20 years of experience & one of Mexico's most extensive music collections , HM is capable of DJing techno, house , minimal , electro or experimental music , with the ability to integrate new wave, industrial , EBM, or even rock or punk classics into his sets- with the ease. He had an obvious interest in music since he was young grew from compiling music and producing radio shows, to subsequently play at the most established venues & clubs of his home town Guadalajara and throughout Mexicos ever growing electronic scene, to shows in North America, South America and Europe. The late 80's marked his debut as a producer and in 1992 he joined the now extinct project double helix, which in 2000 released tracks of the French label Antedrum in addition to material in Mexico, USA & Spain. In a short period of time as a Nopal Beat member from 1999-2005 HM went from producing & remixing for other artists to becoming an essential piece in the development and definition of Acid Cabaret, the collective's most representative audio fusion. Because of his huge & diverse musical knowledge it is possible to find a full variety of influences in HM's sound. He achieves this by combining the different genres & audible manifestations compiled all through his large career and his well known capacity to find elements to integrate to his music in just about everything. At this moment, his work reflects clearly all his experience, with the use of Traktor Scratch + Traktor + Midi Controllers + Effectcs. His dj sets are usually filled with a strong dose of eclectisism & loop deconstructions.
