Mostly, Joel Zifkin is known as a "sideman", if at all; especially with Kate McGarrigle and Anna McGarrigle. (usually violin) Sometimes does tracks for others in studios or over the internet. but there's other stuff as well : download entire ZIFKIN CD the most inexpensive way Here or Hear here : Zifkin at iTunes _ or Zifkin @ AMAZON or (DOWNLOADS - sure - go ahead- ..... make my day) The CD ? It consists of songs / experiments = Erratica perhaps ~ Hand made. JZ also used to write, sing, and play guitar and electric violin in a secret band called the BLIMINALS with Jody Golick and Pat Donaldson. They recorded some songs with Roma Baran producing (at the CBC) and did a number of live performances. Joel has also written and performed music for film,theatre and has done some music production as well. He writes experiments with songs.
