About Me
"Tangled Web" is a new collaboration between me (Art-Sonal) and Malcolm MacFarlane. Main guitars tracks are originally and splendidly composed by awesome guitar player : MALCOLM MACFARLANE. Clic the image below to visit his page and hear is great playing: Welcome! I'm Stephane. I'm a multidisciplinary musician who explores the amazing world of audio and visual creation waves in this astonishing laboratory that we call Earth. Born in the region of Quebec City in Canada, I began my musician career in 1985 as a rhythm guitarist-composer in various speed and power metal bands. Years later, I slowly transformed my playing and creation to something more open minded... I started to play hand-percussions and other traditional as well as electronic instruments... I wanted my songs to be moving in a more positive energy and give myself more colors to be more emotionally accurate. I began to explore different styles and arrangements passing thru jazz, folk, blues, techno, world beat, drum & bass, industrial, ambient, trip hop, etc... and always with that heavy and progressive background that has followed me since. After a while, instinctively my path brought me to a new aspect of my art. I created original music for theatre, dance groups, various live performers and multimedia events. I also began to explore video clip creations, art direction, clay sculpture and digital visual arts... Those are the elements that have really changed and solidified my route. Since then, I still perform in that multidisciplinary sphere... Here's a clip of a show I did this last April for Christine, a new friend of mine. She's studying contemporary dance at Concordia University in Montreal. She did this awesome choregraphy with 3 first year students. I play Darbouka (hands percs) with another drummer-bro (on Djembe).
