I have an adult on-set version of this hereditary sensory motor neuropathy. In my previous life, I was an Athletic Trainer and a Fitness Specialist at a large metropolitan fitness facility. In addition to being the supervisor of the evening shift, my responsibilities included fitness testing, monitoring of the cardiovascular fitness center, strength and conditioning coaching, and personal training. During my vocational rehabilitation, I rediscovered my artistic talents for photography, painting and drawing, and graphic design. I have since gone more and more digital in those and other pursuits. I advocate Green, Wired, and Universal design. Especially Universal Design, it is usually very simple and very cost effective to make most things useable to everyone. Not to incorporated Universal Design in space planning and industrial design is thoughtless ignorance at best and vindictive stupidity at worst. Architects, Developers, and Builders should take note: For all their documented education and/or self-proclaimed experience, they all usually fail miserably when it comes to accessibility and they usually blame it on the almighty dollar. Do not let some corporate puppet decide how you are going to use your Internet access, that YOU actually pay for, directly and indirectly, (not them). How about some corporate flunky telling you what search engines you had to use or whether your webpage is worthy of being accessed? Who do they think they are ... China? Of course, your webpage would be "worthy" enough, if you paid enough for it to be worthy - so much for Free Speech and Free Enterprise. Current Moon Phase I would like the find equilibrium in my life: The balance of the elements - Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. The balance of being - Mind, Body, and Spirit. The balance of forces - Smooth out the gradients between Light to Dark, Hot to Cold, Positive to Negative, and Good to Evil. Not only do things need to be equalized but the true nature of things needs to be revealed, as well. Right now, there is far too much heat and far too much darkness. There is great evil masquerading as great good and, also, far too many people pretending that what is right and true is wrong and false (and visa versa). Their self-deception is so complete that they have lost the ability to reason. This traps us all in a collective nightmare and I fear that no one will be able to awaken from it in time. This way, if something happens to the self-serving, self-important minority (the upper crust or crud, if you prefer), then the rest of us will survive extremely well without them.
