Jamila is....It is hard to summarize all that is Jamila. She is a poet, dancer, singer, song writer, actress, model, business woman, musican, artist and more.Her career began in 2004 when she decided to give her 6th book of poetry life by creating a CD entitled 9Teen. It was in this first year that she began 80s Baby Productions, an entertainment company that focused on complete artist development. Her first release of 9Teen was as an 11 track extended EP released May 31st, 2005. She has sold over 3,000 copies independently and is now working on several projects. Her second CD, POETREMIXTAPE vol. 1 is available for FREEdownload. Jamila has performed at the Lincoln Theatre, opened for Kelis and Rah Digga and performs throughout the week all over the DC area. She is the CEO of 80s Baby Productions, which has produced Apollo Night at the Cada Vez, Underground Unplugged at Martini Lounge and several shows at DC 9. 80s Baby Productions is a collection of highly skilled individuals and companies dedicated to the creation and development of succesful artists, a full service company providing expert service in all areas of the entertainment industry.
