Andrea Revel's second LP Citysong "marries her folk-roots side with light electronic beats and atmospherics, for a moody and often intoxicating disc" (Calgary Sun). Described as "Morcheeba goes to Nashville", this collection of bedroom tapes is "introspective without being indulgent and sophisticated without being standoffish" (Montreal Gazette), creating a sexy and sometimes melancholic late night listen. Citysong was licensed to Difference Music in Portugal and made its European debut in 2006. The album broke top ten on several college and radio stations in Canada and the US; CKUA ranked it among the top 3 Albertan CDs (Fall 2004). Revel's music is also featured in the television series 'This is Wonderland', 'Re-genesis', 'Zoe Busiek; Wild Card', '1-800-Missing' and the Montreal films 'L'Enigme de James Brighton', 'What is Indie?' and the video game 'Splinter Cell IV'. Andrea has written songs for both Old Navy and Target. |
