| I've been doing this for awhile i guess, since I was 14 or 15 years old....writing songs, singing, making up stuff. Writing about what i know. What I don't know. What I think I know. What I thought I knew. Picking and grinning. Always was into Rock n'Roll. Grew up in Indiana in the 80s loving top 40 radio with Prince and Van Halen, Men at Work, Johnny Cougar, etc. Then got turned onto U2, the Smiths, Sex Pistols, punk and skate rock...then in high school found Neil Young and Bob Dylan...in College got deeper into studying the history of popular music and history in general...started listening to a lot of the stuff that i grew up on real early and that all my family from Kentucky would play...folk music, gospel, country. Got a record deal with Sony 550 music/Epic with my band Old Pike when i got out of college....put out a record...broke up and moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and have finally found a great group of guys to play music with again and a family kind of atmosphere of my brethren at the Hotel Cafe....You will find me there a lot.
