| DICK DIAMOND Six guys in jogging suits get together in a rehearsal room, to create some danceable, lovable and wonderful ska and reggae - Dick Diamond is born. Set out to do something different than their previous bands (Krabb, Da Skywalkers, Qcello), the writing progress starts right away and an ad placed on the Swedish ska site Ska Wars gets the attention of former Tony Ellis and Governor Andy organist Sven and the line-up is complete. Fast-forward to November when the recording of the first album takes place, eleven songs are put on tape. A horn section consisting of Mats Mårnell (Putte Wickmans Orchestra), Yahlmar Tuisku (the Cigarres, the Repeaters) and Anders Palmborg (Club killers, Yellow fever, Doktor Kosmos) puts the final touches on the recording. The album, which was mixed in the legendary Rub A Dub Studios by no other than Internal Dread and released in April 2006.
