| DJ E.NYCE started D.J.'ing in 1998 at the age of 15. He DJ'ed in his neighborhood at local community and recreational centers. After only one year DJ E.NYCE established a reputation as one of the most consistent local DJs and party promoters.In 2000 a friend of his introduced him to an up and coming rapper named G. Dep. E.NYCE and Dep clicked instantly and were out on the road in a month's time after their meeting. They traveled all over the world. While on tour with Dep, they made appearances on national television. They appeared on Black entertainment television's "Oh Drama", national wrestling program "Thunder Box", and the legendary "Soul Train." It was during this time that Enyce attended the "Lady of Soul Awards" and the "Source Awards." After touring with Dep for one year E.NYCE became the official DJ for Black Rob.While on tour, DJ E.NYCE rocked the 3 C's, clubs, colleges and concerts. He was booked at some of the best known clubs in the country, Biology Bar in Chicago, The Knitting Factory in L.A., The Velvet Room in Atlanta, Dream in D.C., Speed in N.Y.C., and many more. He practically covered the east coast by spinning at numerous colleges, University of Florida, Delaware State, Temple University, University of Massachusetts, Clark Atlanta, Howard and other schools. In addition, E.NYCE played at arenas, which included Miami Arena, Nassau Coliseum, Pepsi Arena, and Old Boston Garden.While doing parties in Grand Rapids Michigan a local radio program director approached E.NYCE and asked him to fill the spot on air each Wednesday from 10 to 12 p.m. DJ E.NYCE had his own radio show on WJNZ for approximately one year. His reputation continued to grow as his mix tapes were distributed all over the country, from the streets of New York, state to state and all over the internet. In 2003 E.NYCE made two appearances on Rap City's " The Basement" with Tigger. E.NYCE also has hosted mix tapes for upcoming artist as well as done promotional tapes for "Streets' Mos' Magazine." | |
