| Virgil is an experimental instrumental rock band based in Indianapolis . Virgil draws from a diverse musical influence: everything from avant-garde to fusion to heavy metal to hard rock; all which shape Virgil’s undefined sound.Virgil formed in the fall of 1996, as a four piece, which members included Bob Bridges, Matt VanKersen, Thomas Janes and Brenden Birch . All of us came from different local bands over the years including; Outspoken, ToneBelt, Birdmen Of Alcatraz, Transgression and Devil To Pay. After a seven year layoff Virgil returns to the Indianapolis music scene with new drummer Bennett Williams. |
