Shaggy is the highest selling reggae artist to date. His success story is based on far more than simple luck. It is easy to say that Shaggy was just born talented. His seductive voice, intriguing lyrics and innovative style as kept him on top of the charts of years. His charming personality and good looks are just icing on the cake. For Shaggy being the best was not good enough. He and his long time business partner Robert Livingston felt they need to bring new talent into the industry, thus Big Yard Music Group was born. The world is one big yard and this is its playground. The company currently based in Long Island, New York and Kingston, Jamaica is home to many talented artists such as Shaggy, Kiprich, Ky-enie, Nye, Rayvon, Rik Rok, Brian & Tony Gold, Jugglez, Prince Mydas, and Goldenchyl. These artists bring influences from hip-hop, rhythm and blues, dancehall, and reggae. The level and quality of talent in the big yard camp is simply unmatched. Recently Big Yard as been responsible for bringing a line of hit songs including, Kiprich’s telephone ting on the “my baby” riddim, Macka Diamond and Blacker’s Bun Him and Shaggy’s Wild 2 Nite on the Wild2Nite Riddim. Be on the lookout for the next four riddims out of the Big Yard Camp: Wild2Nite, Nookie, Stack Track and Broadway. They are guaranteed to stir up the dance floor with pure excitement. |
