| Many believe in luck, few believe in four-leaf clovers but soon all will believe. Defy* was born to perform. Three Irish sisters Fiona 22, Nayome 20, Evangeline 18, better known as Defy* are making their way into the music scene with raw talent and determination. In the summer of 2002 an opportunity presented itself and ultimately became the motivation for the girls to form a group, formerly known as Sirocco. The girls entered a major talent competition and performed a song written by Fiona to which they put their own choreography and won first prize. Sirocco’s first encounter with fame was when they entered “You’re a Star” a TV Talent search in Ireland. The judges were blown away by their vocals but the girls were too young to progress to the next stage of the competition. Defy* has performed for thousands of fans in their native Ireland and create excitement every time they hit the stage. After coming to New York, the girls decided to change their direction having already self produced a traditional Irish album. With this new direction they decided to change their group name and choose something that would define them immediately. Defy* was born. Emanating the very essence of their name Defy* having spent the last three years in New York City have encountered and overcome many obstacles, challenges and pitfalls associated with working in the music industry. But they’ve also had the privilege to work with some of the top songwriters and producers in the biz. Defy* continue to work hard in perfecting their craft and art of song and dance. The sky is the limit for these three sisters who plan to Defy* all odds to make it to the top!p.s.
