| .. Born and raised in Kingston Jamaica august 1967, Norris Webb had being living the life of a normal school and church going boy until after high school where he found himself drawn to music and its ingredients, which lead him to what they call the mother instrument, The piano, and eventually ended up on the keyboards/Synthesizers. The real training for his profession was done not knowing what he was getting himself into but it was inflicted upon him a few months after high school, when he ended up playing in one of the top hotels on the north coast of Jamaica. Having done just over a year or so in the hotel industry, Norris evolved in his playing and ended up playing for the professionals in the real world of live professional music. With the talent of a good ear and keyboard programming, he went ahead teaming up with members of the hotel band and formed the band called City Heat which in a short time became one of the top backing bands ever created in the history of Jamaica. During this time he ended up playing for most if not all of the prime performers on the market. Norris was also called to perform with other groups within the circuit and before long, became one of the leading keyboard players in and around Jamaica which lead him to freelancing and soon ended up touring and recording with many of different top performers worldwide. Since then Norris has not looked back and has been working as a keyboard player, musical director and now is into the world of Production. Freelancing form time to time, Norris currently plays live keyboards delivering the rightful rich and sizzling sounds for acts such as Grammy award winning artist Toots and the Maytals,http://www.tootsandthemaytals.net/ Diana King, http://www.maverick.com/dianaking/ Super Cat ,http://wildapacheproductions.com/ Grammy nominated reggae/pop/R&B artist Maxi Priest, http://www.maxipriest.com/ and award winning artist Anthony B.http://www.anthonyb.com/ Other artists that he has recorded and played alongside during the past decade or so are acts such as: Super cat, Diana king, Anthony B, Shabba Ranks, Sean Paul, The Wailers (original band for Bob Marley and the wailers), The Wailing Souls, Big Mountain, Wayne Wonder, Frankie Paul, Sugar Minot, Freddie McGregor, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Barrington Levi, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Ghost, Ninja Man, Jose Wales, Brigadier jerry, Cutty Ranks, Wayne Wonder, Beres Hammond, Tiger, Professor Nuts, Junior Reid (of Black Uhuru) Michael Rose (of Black Uhuru) Marcia Griffits, Judy Mowatt, Tami Chynn, Tanya Stephens, Ed Robinson, Pinchers, Sanchez, Thriller U, Israel Vibration, Chaka Demus and Pliers, Everton Blender, Mikey Spice, Glen Washington, the list goes on. During recent times Norris has been granted the opportunity to do major production work with acts such as Super cat, (Diamond all stars Album volumes one through 4),http://www.super-cat.com/ Diana king, and award (Gospel) nominee Sharlene Smith. Norris has recently teamed up with fellow musician (Drummer) Paul Kastick that formed a production company called Groove Galore productions and is working together to bring new waves of music to this generation. Artists such as Bob Marley, Third World, Stele Pulse, Shabba Ranks, Super Cat, and Ninja man influences him. Influences on the pop and R&B side are artist that range from Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson to Anita Baker and Celine Dion. In short Reggae/Hip Hop/R&B/Pop and Jazz influence him.
