Même si cet album qui date de quatre ans n'est plus représentatif de ce qu'est la musique de Johannes Hopfner actuellement il n'en reste pas moins brillant et il convient de le signaler. Cours de rattrapage pour tous. On est vite sous le charme, d'autant plus que « Gold River » qui ouvre le disque est simplement magnifique. En résumé, de belles compositions, souvent mélancoliques, des parties de guitares qui jouent avec bonheur avec la stéréo. Un jeu subtil et nuancé. Le chant n'est pas en reste, belle voix chaude, parfaitement maîtrisée. Des mélodies efficaces. De belles chansons à l'ancienne. Si vous êtes sensible à l'univers de Nick Drake ou à celui de Neil Young, vous apprécierez sûrement ce disque.
