My production and beatmaking process is unlike most other artists that I know in that I refuse to use samples and arrange entire compositions using one-shots (as in the entire track being mixed down, pounded out, and tweaked using a drum sampler like a MPC4K, or Digital Drums. I am a big advocate for Soft Synths and believe that the future of music. I am not fond of music that sound like the instruments that made it or sound strictly like technology- Afterall music is pure and while digital provides us with some amazing synthesis and PC's are giving us almost unlimited processing power- you cannot rely on this medium solely.

My forte is drums and I love working on drum beats using things like breaking bottles as cymbals, tapping coins as highhats, muffled explosions for bass drums. I engineer, process and eq each one shot. I pride myself in my bass frequencies that sound amazingly deep and clean @ 60hz. Unlike most other people- you can get great results form a variety of pro-audio applications and I sold my old MPC2000 because I was spending more time with Reason's Redrum- lol. It's all in how the shit get's used, imo.
