Did you ever know that you're my hero?
Stevie Wonder and Steve Winwood somehow managed to concieve a child.
I AM THAT CHILD.

My Interests

I am awesome. My interests kick your interests' asses. I am interested mostly in women, but also in music. I am a producer, engineer, songwriter, and front man. I read the NY Times international section every day. I also read compulsively about history and politics. And comic books.
I am the most lovable man on the face of the planet. People gaze at me and are turned to stone by my sheer physical beauty. The words that come out of my mouth are golden nuggets of celestial wisdom too bright to be writ by human hands, or a typewriter. I'm a blast at parties.
I have a really nice apartment now, too. I live with three cats. Let the bad times roll!

I'd like to meet:

A cultured lady who loves animals. And these guys. But they're all dead.

Music:

I am a musician!!! I call THAT a bargain. The best I ever had!

And then, y'know, my musical theology breaks down like this: Bob Dylan, Dave Brubeck, and Stevie Wonder constitute the holy trinity, while the permenant members of the Politburo govern in their names.
Those members are David Byrne, Elvis Costello, Steely Dan, DEVO and They Might Be Giants. Then, sitting in the Central Committee, the members with permanent seats, in alphabetic order: Al Green, Alamaailman Vasarat, Average White Band, B-52s, the Band, Bar-Kays, the Beatles, Beethoven, Blur, the Bran Flakes, Britney Spears, the Brothers Johnson, Cameo, Camper von Beethoven, the Cardigans, Car Stalling, the Cars, Chairmen of the Board, Charlie Mingus, the Clash, Crowded House, David Bowie, Digital Underground, Dimitri Kabalevsky, Dizzy Gillespie, Django Reinhardt, the Don Cossack Choir, Doobie Brothers, the Doors, Dr. John, Duke Ellington, Duran Duran, the Eagles, Eek-A-Mouse, the English Beat, Felix Mendelssohn, Frank Zappa, Funkadelic/Parliament, Graham Parker, Hall and Oates, Hector Berlioz, the Isley Brothers, J.S. Bach, James Brown, James Kochalka Superstar, Jerry & the Curls, King Crimson, Louis Armstrong, Los Lobos, Ludwig von Beethoven, Madness, Madonna, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Midnight Oil, the Mills Brothers, Missy Elliot, Morphine, Amadeus von Mozart, Mr. Bungle, Modest Mussorgsky, NESkimos, Oingo Boingo, One Way, Otis Redding, Paul Simon, Pavement, Peter Gabriel, Pharcyde, Philip Glass, Pixies, Police, Prince, Queen, REM, Raymond Scott, Reagan's Polyp, Rick James, Roy Orbinson, Sam Cooke, Sly & The Family Stone, the Specials, the Statler Brothers, Stemage, Steve Winwood, Suzanne Vega, Tears for Fears, Thin Lizzy, Thomas Dolby, Tito Puente, TLC, Tom Petty, Tower of Power, Wall of Voodoo, Warren Zevon, Wayne Fontana, Ween, Weezer, the Who, and XTC. That's not to mention all the members of the 1000+ General Assembly, including L'il Kim and Rimsy-Korsakov.

And it should be mentioned that all the citizens of Columbia, Brazil, and Nigeria are given permanent citizenship here, while the characters of Nintendo and their accompanying songs are worhsipped as minor deities.
Don McLean is currently in prison for life for war crimes. And Sean Lennon faces corruption charges; he is currently living in exile.

Movies:

I spend a lot of time watching brainless action trilogies, especially Back to the Future, Star Wars, Terminator series, Spider Man, etc. But I also love the Marx Brothers and anything with Alec Guiness in it. Or anything directed by Akira Kurosawa. And much love goes out to Sanjit Ray and Frederico Fellini. Word, son!

Television:

BBC World News with Katty Kay and my dream girl, Dharshini David, live from Washington! WOOT WOOT! Also, in order of brilliance: Twin Peaks, Monthy Python's Flying Circus, Twilight Zone, Kids in The Hall, Simpsons, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sopranos, SNL, Da Ali G Show, SCTV, Pee Wee's Playhouse, American Dad, Family Guy, Dangermouse, Spongebob Squarepants, Darkwing Duck, Tiny Toons.

Books:

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich and Essential Spider-Man vol. 5. Also, the following authors: William L. Shirer, Robert Caro, Edward Gibbon, Joseph Conrad, Albert Camus, Herman Hesse, Karen Armstrong, Jared Diamond, Jonathan D. Spence, Larry Gonick, Stan Lee, and others, not in order necessarily.

Heroes:

Matt Murdoch: DAREDEVIL!!! And Lyndon Baines Johnson! And Kristin Baganz.
