| The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art that presents "art you can get into" - room sized environments created by in-residence artists. Located in Pittsburgh's historic Mexican War Streets since 1977, the Mattress Factory is one of few museums of its kind anywhere in the world. The MF has two great buildings for you to explore, located within one block of each other at 500 Sampsonia Way and 1414 Monterey Street. Free parking is available in our private lot at 505 Jacksonia Street. HOURS: Tuesday-Saturday: 10-5 Sunday: 1-5 ADMISSION: Adults $10.00 Seniors $8.00 Students $7.00 Every Thursday 1/2 price admission! CMU students get in FREE all year! Pitt students FREE during Fall/Spring Semester! MF members are always FREE! BOXSPRING CAFÉ: The BoxSpring Café, located in the lobby of 500 Sampsonia Way, offers delicious soups, salads, specialty entrees, pizzas and sandwiches from M Catering. The Cafe also offers unique desserts from Vanilla Pastry Studio, and gourmet coffee from La Prima. CAFÉ HOURS: Thursday 11AM-3PM Friday 11AM-3PM Saturday 11AM-4PM Museum admission is not required to dine.
