Pictures in Pieces came together in the winter months of 2005 after drummer Chris Barrett left Stars Hide Fire to pursue a new project. He teamed up with longtime friend Stephen Lucas who had recently departed from his frontman position in Your LAST Collapse. After putting some songs together they set out to complete the lineup. Shortly after the New Year they did just that with the acquisition of Andy Tudor on rhythm guitar, Chris Lorenzen on bass and after a process of auditions and fill in's, Jesse Stern on lead guitar. With the outfit complete the band set out to make sure that each song convey a sense of honesty and their passion for the music. At the same time they wanted to stray from the cliche sounds that litter today's music scene ..... ..... Released in early Spring 2006, Pictures in Pieces' debut EP 'The Wake' has sold well over 1000 copies without the support of a label. The band directly attributes this to a hard work ethic and their DIY attitude. With a self-booked tour in the summer of 2006 the guys of Pictures In Pieces were finally able to meet fans face to face, "It's important to us that we make a personal connection with people," says Lucas, "Our live show thrives on that, whether it's 5 people or 500." The band has since shared the stage with some of the scene's biggest acts including The Matches, Over It, He Is Legend and Valencia to name a few..... ..... 2007 should prove to be a standout year for the band, who show no signs of slowing down as they forge ahead. Equipped with catchy, driving hooks and rhythmic precision way beyond their time, Pictures in Pieces hope to finally bring quality to the forefront .....
