| I'm fair but outspoken. I would survive approximately 20 seconds in any Middle Eastern country. There would be a blue cloud of cursing coming from my pink sparkly burka. I'm a feminist progressive who can never be active in politics because right and wrong is nearly always black and white to me and I cannot deal with people who can and do make decisions that are not in the best interest of the well-being of others. And if I were active in politics, you would see me on the news leaping across a table and strangling, I'm going out on a limb here, a religious zealot conservative. Good tv. Not so good for the blood pressure. Did I mention I'm fiesty? I like to think of it as passionate but whatever. I lived with a nun in Oaxaca in the mountains of Southern Mexico where I volunteered and worked with the Indigenous peoples of the region. This is my proudest accomplishment. I hope to volunteer in Appalachia and Africa soon. I also am passionate about animals and their causes. My husband Stuart and I don't want children, which is good, because we have our hands full with two equally fiesty and naughty animals. Our cat Simon is the boss but he lets our dog Ephraim think he is. You will hear about them in almost every post. They are some of my favorite people. I love traveling. Stuart is from England so we go back to visit as often as we can and we plan to visit our friends in Oaxaca more often, as well. My family members are the most important people in the world to me. My sister is my best friend. It's her fault I have this my space thing. | |
