No, it's not a chemical or a distant star or galaxy. We like to say that it's derived from the word "cerulean", a blue color reflecting the mood of our music, but that's a lie. Your guess is as good as ours! We have been playing our own brand of acoustic and electric rock throughout Chicago since 1999. Serilian is several cuts above the indie singer/songwriter norm and at least on par with those of our major-label ilk. Brisk tempos, ringing acoustic guitars, and cool harmonies. The result isn't so much folk-rock as rock-folk. Serilian offers a nice diversion in a time when rock seems a thing of the past. Serilian's songs are radio ready rockers - full of punchy, melodic hooks that are immediately accessible, but with tension and an edge that sets them apart from the standard radio fair.
