I can hear New Order and quite a few other influences which Jim lists on his profile, Bowie and Eno just to mention a couple of others. I like the expression of emotion he captures in his music and the vibe. Deus Ex Machine reminded me of Pink Floyd, once again I liked the vibe and the lyrics, I found them thought provoking "It's a stone cold miracle, if what we want don't kill us all".
