| "OL'CHEEKY BASTARDS" Music has been described as CELTIC, PUNK, HOBO, BLUESY ROCK- a la “The Faces meets The Pogues”. Dave will pay homage to many of his favorite artists as he brings new energy to some of the songs that have influenced him along the way. Whether performing classics or introducing new tunes, Dave has an innate ability to energize and play to whatever crowd he is facing.
Since launching his new project in mid 2006, “OL’CHEEKY BASTARDS” has shared the bill with acts such as Blag Dahlia of the Dwarves, Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age and Mondo Generator, The Vibrators, The Girlfriend Expereince, All Ages, The Culann’s Hounds, Wilson Gil and the Wilful Sinners, Michale Graves of the Misfits, The Independents, The John Corbett Band, The Cross Tops, Wreckless Eric, The Mansfields, T/A-tracy&angel, Roadside Celebrity, Koffin Kats, The Scrawnies, Castles in Spain, and ’77 punk girl herself-Jennifer Blowdryer and many others.Dave has wrapped up recording of the new record, “Bag O’Tricks”. The new record was produced by Michael Molenda, Editor in Chief of Guitar Player Magazine and features many old and new friends. The record will be released in early May 2008 by Vagrant Records of Seattle.Dave's musical spark has been inspired by a wide range of talented artists from the likes of Johnny Cash and Woody Guthrie, to Bob Dylan and Keith Richards,Ronnie Wood,Ronnie Lane,Ian Mac Lagen,(The Faces)and including Shane of the Pogues and Blag Dahlia of the Dwarves. Dave also is inspired by Chris Whitley (dobro).Dave, with his roots still firmly embedded in 'ol skool punk; think along the lines of The Ramones, Rancid, DKS, The Clash, The Adicts, The Sex Pistols, The Vibrators and Sham 69. Dave is excited to be mixing his eclectic musical tastes up in the studio with some of his old friends and some of the new friends he has met along the way. This record will be an adventure as well...stay tuned....this will be very rootsy ala 77 unplugged punk record(produced by Michael Molenda Editor of Guitar Player Magazine).....Coming Late Spring 2008 on Vagrant Records of Seattle Washington!!!!
