| Hello there, my name is Marleen and I'm 35 years old. I live in Arnhem, a city near the German border but I grew up in Zwolle. Music is my life !!! I can't imagine living without it, but I'm not a musician unfortunately (I do own a electric guitar). I got my first recordplayer when I was 5 years old. I'll never forget that day. I had only one record (ABBA); I played it over and over again.
My favourite instrument is the saxophone (great sax-players: Clarence Clemons, Ian Ritchie and David Jackson). I've studied Psychology at the University of Utrecht. At this moment I have a job at an institution for mental health. I mainly work with general practitioners and family members of psychiatric patients. Yes, it's an amazing job. I also like to write. I'm an editor for a couple of magazines. Things I love: music, Sicily, cats, art (not modern), old English literature, pizza (glutenfree), intelligent and honest people. Occasionally I visit the Gelredome Stadion in my hometown to watch our local soccerteam, Vitesse (Arnhem's pride!). As a kid I didn't like dolls or barbies: I spent most of my time playing soccer (or hockey) with the other children in the streets. Things I dislike: sundays, arrogance, injustice, George W. Bush, fake people. Another thing about me: if you ever want to invite me for dinner or a party, please don't give me something to eat which contains gluten. I have an intolerance for gluten. Gluten are a part of many cereals like wheat, oats and barley. This means I can't eat normal bread, pizza, beer or pastas. These things make me sick !! Great musicians from Holland |
