"Bellowing with a natural sense of balance for message and form, Dylan Walshe sings stripped down songs from the heart. Percussive, dissonant and lyrically driven, Dylan deals with the sometimes difficult but universal topics of introspection, existence and love with a mature and deep honesty. Whether it’s powerful heartfelt songs for perusal, short tunes for dancing or understated songs that draw you in, it’s all fuelled by an uncompromising, warm and dark, big voice.
A native of Ireland and up untill recently a resident in London, Dylan performs regularly on the London and Dublin circuits and elsewhere. Past bands have seen him play instruments such as drums and guitar, but it is as a solo artist that Dylan has gone from strength to strength and Dylan undeniably cuts a refreshing figure on the live music scene as a real song-writing talent.
Since taking up residency in London-Camden Town in 2004, Dylan has worked with artists such as Rosco (Sterling) Roswell formerly of Spacemen 3 and his live performances on Resonance 104.4 FM saw him celebrated as “Amazing”, “Powerful” and “Passionate”(Resonance 104.4FM). His time in London has giving rise to collaborations with artists of various mediums such as Mark Shuttleworth, Sarah Marshall and David Nwokedi.
Never one to be easily tagged with generic genres that singing and song-writing can carry, Dylan has a distinctive, rich sound and 2007 will see his return to Dublin."
