Hey was up? Thank you for reading and getting to know about me! So yeah what drove me to become a dj? Well I began my passion for the art of mixing back in 1986! My interest in the art of mixing was influenced by the Underground Chicago House Music scene. On summer weekends I would go with my big brother (who was a dj as well) to the parties that where thrown in somebody's house or basement! Really the whole atmosphere and idea influenced me to want to learn how to spin records like those dj's that where spinning at the parties. I liked the music and how the dj was able to express himself by picking the music to make people dance, feel good, and forget about the everyday hustle n bustle of life. The music was so fresh and different that it took me for a joy ride everytime I heard a mix. So I set a goal to teach myself the art of mixing all in the year of 1988 and I've been devoted to it every moment and every step of the way by mixing at many venues, parties, and radio shows around Chicago and in it's surrounding Suburbs! By the early 90's I felt I had mastered the basic elements of mixing and started to show an interest in the creation of making music. So as of today I keep myself busy learning all the aspects of the music industry by joining up with (my brother from another mother) Dj Tazz to form an organization called The High Class Entertainment to do what we love! Making good music! |
