| Across The Hall is an explosion of melodic punk mixed with many new and old musical inspirations, while still pulling together an energetic, heavy sound. The original lineup was performed in 2001 by Mike Loftus ( rythm guitar, vocals), Chris Shearer ( Bass, Lead Vocals), and Rob Garza (lead guitar, vocals). These members consequentially created the name after living together durning the hazy beginning of their college careers. After a line up change in 2003 brought in a new drummer, Kevin Rypma, the band was officially formed. Each member brings an abundance of creativity and personallity to the band as continue to develop a style all their own. Local Grand Rapids music promoter Jay Thornton describes AcrossThe Hall's lastes EP in these words, "Caught In The Act Of Trust" is not advisable for that night relaxing by the fireplace... the album however, is exactly what the doctor ordered for those intense mid-day bike rides through city traffic and a perfect preparation for a night at the local music event."
