| 411house,, music project chronicles 411+ weeks of life in the Underground Dance Music Community on a cumulative week-by-week basis. 411housemusicproject is a grassroots effort to preserve the memories of more than 100,000 people at underground dance music events over the past decade. 411house music project recognizes and highlights those who have been and are active in the underground dance music community. The 411house,, Music Project began in 1996, as the vision of a House music enthusiast/photographer starting to capture life in the underground dance music community after years of being positively influenced by underground House music events. He saw a need to document and preserve the memories of the people who were and are active and instrumental in the evolution of the blossoming underground dance culture. Though it seems as if we have been in the age of myspace forever, the 411house,, music project began on film, before the age of consumer digital cameras, before the popularity of the internet and websites and has been financed on a non-existent budget with a goal that someday all the participants: event-goers, artists, jackers, promoters, venues and other supporters would be able to go back in time and discover themselves being recognized and celebrated for their contributions. To make this possible, in 2005 the Underground Music Conservation UMC officially formed as an international not-for-profit arts organization based in Chicago to help bring the 411house,, music project to the world. Today the 411house,, music project stands as the longest running documentary on the evolution of underground dance music culture in the world. The primary backdrop has been the dance music capital of the world, Chicago, the birthplace of House, with special trips being made to Detroit, the city that gave the world Techno. The 411 house music project recognizes the positive aspects of all factions of the underground dance music community; be it Goth, Industrial, Drum ‘n Bass, House, Electronic, etcetera.Over the years, there have been many patient friends of 411house,,...those who lended a helping hand, encouragement, and positive energy.
