When Alex Harvey died in 1982 He left behind a legacy of passion that survives to this day, S.A.H.B took cult status and turned it into legend,a legend that rips up and re-write;s the rool book!! The Sensational Alex Harvey Band were as equally loved as Alex himself and together they were the biggest-grossing UK live act of the mid 70s; they released eight critically-acclaimed albums in their five years together,and Without doubt they are the most influencial band to ever come out of Scotland they inspired many of the top names in popular entertainment over the last 30 years,cited By Robert Smith & The Cure, Nick Cave, Billy Connolly, Richard Oâ€™Brien,Cheap Trick,The Skids, Simple Minds, Fish,Def Leppard, John Lydon, The Cult, & AC/DC, Even Alice Cooper endorsed what a great band SAHB are.their pedigree has never been in doubt, never mind surpassed!!! But... the SAHB story has never been an easy read,and its still weaving,twisting & turning even when you just want it to go straight ahead. And after a sold out tour in 2007, 2008 was looking good,then came Zal Clemisonâ€™s shock retirement announcement, So once again S.A.H.B have to face the impossible task of decideing whether or not to carry on. HUGH MCKENNA: was musically closest to Alex, and their creative partnership was at once rewarding and devastating. Hugh’s proud of his piano playing and songwriting, and referred to his parents’ background in music hall entertainment to help develop Alex’s vision of a genre-encompassing rock show. His own experiences of excess and over-indulgence led directly to hospitalisation - but fortunately he came out the other side. TED MCKENNA: is Hugh’s cousin and began his musical career with Hugh.
