About Me |
|
| Jason Bean is a singer-songwriter from Syracuse New York. With two albums to his credit ("Take Your Time" in 2005 and "When History Lets You Go" in 2006) and a third, "What It Seems" completed for a summer 2008 release, Jason has proven he can stay true to his musical roots while still evolving as both a writer and a performer. Songs that make you think and songs that think for you, songs that carry you and songs that stay with you. Appealing to audiences young and old, Jason has been performing for crowds of every type. Whether it be summer festival stages with his full backing band or small acoustic settings during the winter, his songs translate into a feeling that everybody has had but few can recreate. Jasons short run of a live career has fostered rave reviews, radio appearances, and featured newspaper articles in and around Central New York as he works diligently towards that next step. Though his format has changed throughout the years, his music has maintained the rock and calm that is unique to the artist. Don't miss Jasons upcoming summer season with his latest lineup and new album "What It Seems". Also be sure to check his official website for news and other show updates. What It Seems Review by Mark Bialczak With his 11 original songs on 'What It Seems', singer, guitarist and songwriter Jason Bean builds to a big ending. Within the songs, Bean knows HOW to work his words and the music by his tight band. Brother Chris Bean on drums, pianist Paul Thompson, guitarist Josh Grosvent and bassist Josh Coy all head steadily toward a crescendo. They rock. They're bold. They're satisfying. Thompson's keyboard dances as Jason Bean ratches up the angst on 'Lights & Chrome'. "You're too beautiful and kind, just the kind that I might like, make up my mind." He sings, "You can't get silence from a storm. You can't get wind to keep you warm. You can't go blind if you can't see. So don't expect no love from me." The guitars get fiery and intense on the big, grand rocker 'Us'. The drums build tension in 'Better Now'. And they all come together in the closing look at life, 'Til I'm Old'. The guys all know each other from their days at Phoenix High School. STARS, The Post-Standard. Sunday June 1, 2008. Booking: Official Website The Central New York Showcase online booking form!
