| Honest songs about people and places; music from memories. The music is about things we've all gone through. How we deal with this world with all the twists and turns and stops along the way.....MacLeod tells tales we can all relate to. Scott's debut album is recieving steady airplay in North America and in Europe while he continues to perform across Canada. In 2006 and 2007 he was a finalist in the Calgary Folkfest Songwriting Competition in the Best Song Category, "Traveller's Rest" advanced into the second round of the 2006 International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, TN, and "Sunshine & Smiles" recieved honorable mention in the 2006 Billboard World Songwriting Contest. Just back from a stellar showcase at NXNE in Toronto, the good MacLeod word continues to spread.The live show will get you back to your roots. Solo acoustic or with the steady rockin' band "The Shipwrecked Souls", tales of days gone by, loves gone wrong, and the state of the world are all chapters in the storybook. With influences such as Blue Rodeo and Bruce Springsteen, the songs range from laid back folk to whiskey drinkin' rock'n'roll! Slow groovin' or fist pumpin'......just get ready for a good time! | |
