| James Boyd - Writer-Director, Producer, Editor of indie films ( "Inside The Monitor" & "The New Gods," "Half-Life" as "Co-Executive Producer"), and founder and Festival Director of the Nodance Film Festival (Nodance.com) in Park City, Utah. Nodance was the world's first DVD-projected film festival, and it was eventually acquired by actor-director Forest Whitaker.
I have since gone back to writing and directing, and I'm currently developing feature film and TV projects through my indie company, 6161 Entertainment, while trying to see the ocean at least once a day. I'm also working to bring 6161 short-form content to mobiles and ipods. I'm learning Gracie jiu-jitsu. Worship chocolate. Text-book Taurus. HERMOD. Stavanger. Wednesday night workouts. Books:"On The Road" by Jack Kerouac - I know everyone says this, but I actually finished the book (along with Kerouac others). "On the Road", "Dharma Bums", and "Big Sur" changed the way I live in the world. Hunter S. Thompson. William Blake. Aldous Huxley. Stephen King. All Carl Sagan as brain food--Sagan makes you see yourself in the universe, with a very compelling and straight-forward syntax (i.e. he explains it to you and me). I try to read as much political non-fiction, as possible, in between bouts of nausea while watching CNN. Blue states own. |
