Movies:David Cronenberg's movies never disappoint.Nor do the ingenious works of Stanley Kubrick. Other favs are: Over the Edge, Harold and Maude, Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, Warriors, The Jerk, Blue Velvet (I own an original on BetaMax), Rosemary's Baby, The Stoned Age, Spinal Tap, Tron, Dreamscape, The Omen Trilogy, and so many more. Of course all those campy sub-B-rated movies of the late seventies and early eighties (Toxic Avenger, Brain Damage, Blood Diner, The Fog, just to name a few favs) that I used to watch on TV when I was a kid (and on USA up-all-night), some of which used to literally scare the pee out of me as I watched them through the tiny spaces of my fingers held against my face to "cover" my eyes. I wish I knew what ALL of them were called so I could buy them and keep the memories fresh forever. ...not to mention subjecting my offspring to them as well! My collection slowly grows........... There is nothing sweeter than the steamy aroma of scary movie nostalgia.... |
