I been holding it down in the ATL for about 11 years... And just so you know the streets have been showing me nothing but love... I’ve performed on stage with some of the hottest in the world. Such as Ken Ford, MC Lyte, Lyfe, Toney Rich, KRS 1, Kem, and the worlds Famous Miami’s own Uncle Luke... That’s just to name a few... Yea real poets get down on floor.. Out of everybody I had the most fun with Luke... He’s a real cool Kat... And any man that surrounds himself around women that’s where I’m tryin to kick it... Just keepin it real. Holla!Renowned and revered spoken word poet, Las4Eva was born and raised in Jamaica [Queens], New York . In 1994, he made the move to Atlanta , Georgia . He had his first encounter with spoken word at the Ying Yang Café in 1997. It was around this time that he discovered his love for this burgeoning art form was greater than that of corporate America . In 2001, he put on his first play, “Soul Food or Fast Food” at Clark Atlanta University with a more than 500 person audience turn-out. In 2004, Las stepped out on faith and left the confines of corporate America to pursue his love for spoken word. He has appeared in several local and national publications, such as Creative Loafing and Rolling Out. He has held a plethora of professional hosting jobs here in Atlanta including: hosting at D’Jango, helming the mic every last Sunday at Stress Free Sunday at Apache Café and hosting every Thursday at Studio Bar and Grille. His accolades are just as plentiful as his poignant poetic endeavors. In 2005, he was nominated for Spoken Word artist of the Year. That same year, he competed in the Red Bull World Class Slam. Robert Townsend tapped him to be apart of “Spoken”, a spoken word documentary. In 2006, he participated in the provocative “Passion & Poetry”. He has sold over 20,000 cds by hand and has performed all over the country. From Philly to North Carolina Las4Eva has a message; no matter the topic. Whether it be love, societal change or just good humor, he wants to be heard…and ensure that his message lasts for ever…
