PEARL AND THE PUPPETS Learning piano from an early age, it wasn’t until university while studying to be a teacher that Kirkintilloch’s 21-year-old Pearl first picked up a guitar and her brilliant song writing talent began to flow. Pearl is the quietly rebellious leader of this alternative pop four-piece, which includes her backing band The Puppets. Her atmospheric, innocent and quirky songs capture the coming of age spirit while breaking through the barriers of expectation. Pearl has already gained a number of high profile fans. Posting four tracks on Myspace brought her to the attention of top management company Twenty First Artists (James Blunt, Elton John, Lily Allen) and a publishing deal with Warner Chappell. She also recently recorded with legendary producer Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur) at Olympic Studios in London. Pearl And The Puppets played Scotland’s Hydro Connect Festival this summer to rave reviews and more live dates will be announced soon.
