¿ QUÉ ES DIE! GOLDSTEIN ? DIE! GOLDSTEIN (abreviado D!G) es el proyecto musical en solitario de Diego Mart, nacido en Granada, España, a principios de la década de los ochenta. A la edad de 8 años inició estudios de música y de violín en el conservatorio durante 10 años. En el año 2005, y tras 7 años de pausa musical, se valió de un viejo ordenador para comenzar a escupir todas las experiencias y aprendizajes musicales y sociales que había estado acumulando en esos años. D!G se nutre de la literatura distópica, la corrupción política y la atmósfera de los filmes de David Lynch, así como de la sobrecarga emocional del PostRock, la experimentación de la electrónica y la oscuridad del PostPunk. DIE! GOLDSTEIN, como el personaje de Nineteen Eighty-Four de George Orwell a quienes los trabajadores dedican sus dos minutos diarios de odio y de donde D!G saca su nombre, busca denunciar a quienes poseen el poder y lo utilizan para sembrar el miedo entre aquellos jerárquicamente inferiores con el fin de privarlos de su libertad. A aquellos que buscan hacer un nuevo orden causando el caos. Partiendo de esta distopía, propone llegar a una mejor solución de conflictos comenzando por nosotros mismos, encaminándonos a un panorama más alentador. Es así como lo indica el título de su álbum de debut, Dystopia / Utopia, que será lanzado mundialmente a principios del año 2009 por el sello sueco Fluttery Records. ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------- ¿ WHAT DIE! GOLDSTEIN IS? DIE! GOLDSTEIN (D!G, to make it short) is the musical solo project of Diego Mart, born in Granada, Spain, during the early eighties. At the age of 8, he started studying music and violin at the Conservatorium for 10 years. In the year 2005, and after a seven-year musical break, he took advantage of an old computer to begin spitting out all the social and musical experiences and learning he had been accumulating all those years. D!G nurtures itself from dystopic literature, politic corruption and the atmosphere of David Lynch films, just like from the emotional overload in PostRock, the experimentation in Electronica and the darkness in PostPunk. DIE! GOLDSTEIN, as the character in George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four to whom workers dedicate their daily two minutes of hate and from where D!G takes its moniker, it aims to denounce those who own power and use it to plant fear amongst those hierarchically inferior in order to deprive them from their liberty. To those who are looking forward to make a new order, causing chaos. Parting from this dystopia, it proposes to get to a better conflict solution starting with ourselves, heading us towards a more encouraging panorama. That’s what indicates the title of its debut album, Dystopia / Utopia, to be released worldwide on early 2009 by Swedish label Fluttery Records. DON'T FORGET!!
