| I'm a chilled to the max, cooler than most, groovy type living in some splendour in York (for those of you overseas that's an old city with cobbled streets and the like in the north of England. It's very nice, you should visit). I have many and varied interests, principally being pottering about and talking rubbish, maybe with a bit of shopping, drinking tea, reading and dancing thrown in for good measure. I've been with my other half Martyn for nearly 14 years and we've been hitched for 11. We're bezzie mates first and foremost and equally bonkers.I'm happily childfree by choice and intend on staying that way. I've never wanted children and never will, and I get dead irritated when people tell me I will/should. Mind your own business ! I don't think people should be told how they should or shouldn't live their lives due to their biology. I have an allergy to geezer-style blokes epitomised by that wally Danny Dyer and frequently find myself telling them how crap they are in pubs. It's a kind of plonker brought on honesty tourettes I think. I'm a natural blonde but never have blonde moments. I'm a happy introvert, preferring my own company or that of my other half to the company of most other people most of the time. It's fair to say I'm pretty self-sufficient, I've always been a tomboy at heart (I just dress better these days) and I very much enjoy my life. Oh, and I'm stubborn. Luckily so too is Martyn and we just encourage one another.When I go out I like to go see an interesting film at our nice arty independent cinema here in York, or go to the theatre or to see a band made up of beautiful young people. A few times a year I like to hide in the hills or near the coast reading, wandering about and connecting with the natural world.Life is good y'know ! | Wandering about, taking snaps, drinking tea, reading, watching reality TV, serious running for would-be marathoners (you knows it), being a well-dressed tomboy, not having children, the hubby, not getting boring, trying to be true to myself, telling laddish blokes how stupid they are(and they are, lets face it, they're a waste of skin ) tutting vigorously at badly disciplined kids who get in my way when I'm patrolling my manor, Converse, DMs, groovy indie fashions, York (my adopted home town which I love), Mart's gorgeous cooking, groovy contemporary art, going to the theatre, cinema (increasingly so, it's great isn't it ? Just as long as you avoid those big multiplex chav palaces where smelly youth pelt you with popcorn) being introverted, standing up to idiots, driving about, cottages in the middle of nowhere somewhere dramatic, shopping, magazines (which frequently wind me up), pretty androgynous boys, gigs, not doing as I'm told, kitsch stuff, dogs (come on, puppies are much cuter than babies), dancing in the kitchen, being happy, chillaxing to the maxing and never getting bogged down in the dreary things of life. Television:The Mighty Boosh, Peep Show, anything with Russell Brand, Skins, Shameless, The L Word, reality TV - no matter how rubbishy, it's almost compulsory. Those programmes where someone looks awful then an hour later after being prodded they look slightly less awful. Programmes where people show other people around a house and they say things like 'well, I like most of it, but I couldn't live with that gorgeous view and great big garden. I had hoped for a stately home.' Most Haunted and all those psychic programmes where a medium talks in funny voices and pretends to be called Nasty Claude and the like. Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives. Lots of other rubbish as well. Can't stand crappy adverts though... .. .. |
