born in N.J. spent most of my time playing music and creating art work. I started playing baritone in 3rd grade and eventualy moved to trombone,then tuba. played baritone in concert band,trombone in jazz band ,and tuba in marching band. As i got older, i gained an interest in string instruments. I learned how to play bass first useing a mandoline to understand how to read bass music. (frets are frets) I also must thank all the people who lent me there guitar , so i could practice bass and learn what the other two strings are all about. i started playing more guitar, I later moved down to Savannah G.A. to go to art school and continue playing music. Living in the south, i started getting interested in slide guitar and dobro. It had a sound that you dont hear much in N.J. Then i picked up the harmonica from this biker who lived next to me, when i ended up living in a shack in the swamps outside of Savannah.I came back to Savannah and joined a band called The Cold Club. In this band i hopped from guitar,trombone,piano,penny whistle,conk shell,harmonica,and slide guitar. Later i joined the Darlins,a band that needed a banjo player. So i picked up the banjo, and had to learn fast. After the Darlins, came Uncle Sams Medicine Cabinet. i am still painting,drawing,stain glass,instrument repair,and building custom string instruments.
