Established in early 2006, AVA Recordings is dedicated to releasing quality electronic music. The label, based in the United Kingdom, has been developed in a way whereby rigid guidelines will not be conformed to, ensuring true freedom with releases. Also, no influence will be placed on genre defining names, which have recently become so prominent. The focus is on 'classy' electronic dance music, with releases from some of today's top names, alongside upcoming talents, as you'll have witnessed from our initial releases. In November of 2007 the label decided that 'AVA digital' will change its name to 'AVA blue' to allow for more diversity within the brand. AVA blue will continue with the same music policy and high standards. Metaverse a Smash Hit! In its first week on Beatport.com, Orkidea's Metaverse album has dominated the trance charts racking up a staggering 5 tracks in the Top 100 with 'God's Garden' smashing into the Top 10. The album has also cracked the top Finnish National Album Top 20, moved into the Juno Records Top 25, and even found its way onto the Billboard Top 100! With consistent support from Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, Andy Moor, Menno de Jong, and Paul Oakenfold just to name a few, it's safe to say that Metaverse has cemented its place as one of 2008's essential artist albums. With the success of Orkidea's artist album, AVA Recordings is releasing 3 remix EP albums to showcase some of the finer tracks in the album. First up we are excited to present the title track off the album, Metaverse with a massive remix from none other than Gareth Emery. Fresh off the success of 'Formentera What', we were ecstatic to snap up Gareth and he's delivered an incredible mix, perfect for a summer release. Metaverse, complete with Gareth Emery's remix is set for full release on May 19th, 2008. Next up is again the title track off the album, Metaverse this time with the fantastic Jody Wisternoff taking care of remix duties. Jody, from Way Out West fame brings us a brilliant summer terrace style mix. Look for Jody's remix to be out in early June 2008. The third EP will be a selection of remixes handpicked by Orkidea himself. With a digital and vinyl release, this EP will showcase a full array of tracks from the entire album.
