| been surounded by music since the day i was born.i started playing with my parents records at a very young age and making mix tapes for my school parties in fourth grade. the 60's psychedelic rock and the 70's disco music will always be the biggest influence in my life and my music. i went to music school in mexico and los angeles specializing in bass guitar and composition. in LA i somehow got involved in the electronic music scene of the early ninties, sold my bass and all my equipment and bought a couple of turntables a mixer and a bunch of breakbeat and acidhouse records and started playing local parties in the venice beach area, came back to mexico in 96 and opened the first record store specialized in underground vinyls ,and started rocking parties all over mexico i have played records in a bunch of places here in america ,like costa rica,chile, colombia,usa,canada and all over mexican teritory. i met the guys from the u-site crew and they invited me to play at fusion festival 2000, next to people like ricardo villalobos,der dritte raum,d.diggler,paul britschtsch and lots more, this event changed my life forever, after this i have been involved in the berlin underground music scene , djing all over europe in places like poland,switzerland,spain,france,sweden and of course germany i have also put out a few records on labels like mineral as modelo espacial next to dj decibel and on the label eintakt and mitek with the project lineas de nazca with my partner in crime luca ortega lots of people i admire have rocked our records and charted our tracks. these days i am busy doing a project called signal deluxe next to lila d where we dj all kinds of styles like new abstract hip hop, grime, dubstep, techno , house and lots more, we also produce our own music under this same name. my dj style is a mixture of a lot of diferent forms of electronic music, both old and new i like to keep things fresh and unpredictable, trends are boring for me i love old school acid house as well as new minimal house and techno sounds but i always like to drop some breakbeats in between or some progresive sounds to keep things flowing theres some new records from signal deluxe coming out in 2007 i love music more than ever and it has always saved my life in many ways keeping things true and real.one love .jah rules! for bookings contact : booking@soundsofearth.net I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) | |
