My Interests
Music: Member Since: 2/24/2006 Band Website: stevenzane.com Band Members: Steven Zane is the main songwriter, vocalist, guitarist and bassist. Other musician's on the current cd are Leonard Cohen, Ruby Harris, Allie Temkin, Janet Buzil and Debi Buzil, also sound engineers, Jim Godsey and the late Jerry Soto. Influences: There are so many influences, but Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd are probably the major ones. Also, The Beatles, Stones, Jim Morrison, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Peter Himmelman and Brian Wilson played other major influences. My musical horizon's expanded as I matured to include a wide array of styles including blues, jazz, classical, folk, and the many different types of rock that have evolved. The list really goes on and on. Basically, I can appreciate all types of music as long as it's good. I'm very open minded and eclectic......Right now, I think my favorite new song is 'Wreck of the Day' by Anna Nalick. Check it out if you are unfamiliar with her, just click on her picture under my friends, but I have to warn you, she makes me look bad........I also collect bootleg concerts of Pink Floyd and some other bands on cd and dvd. If you're interested, let me know. Sounds Like: It is not my intention to sound like anyone specifically. I just try to write and record what I hear inside of me. If it sounds like someone else, it's probably just because my music is influenced by others, like everybody else's. I guess that's just the course music progresses in general. Type of Label: Indie
