| I am a guy who loves football and music
My era was the 70's and 80's. My favourite bands when I was a young wippersnapper were Thin Lizzy, Def leppard, Roxy music, Trex, Slade, Sweet, Queen, Genesis to name a few.
Saw Thin Lizzy in the early eighties at Kirkcaldy Ice Rink. It was awesome. Lack of funds and having four kids curtailed me going to concerts for many years. My lads are grown up now and all into music. No. 3 son was the only one to get into playing. He plays drums in an up and coming band with some friends. Check them out on www.myspace.com/canceltheastronauts. Their new stuff is pretty good. I love going to watch local bands. There are a lot of good ones out there. I also go to see well established bands, usually with some of my lads.I also like to go and see tribute bands. The best I have seen without a shadow of a doubt is Limehouse Lizzy (Thin Lizzy). They put on a fantastic show.
I guess I am just an old rocker reliving my youth but what the hell.
I love to get out and watch bands.
Everyone should get out and support local bands.

I'd like to meet:I took up playing the drums this year (2007) and love it. I'll never be a drum god but as long as I have fun, that's what counts. I am slowly getting better so you can see you are never too old to learn something new. My son Chris has been teaching me.
