| The Librarians started performing in early 2006, formed by Tom Whiston (vocals and guitar), Ally Dann (drums) and John Lawrence (bass and backing vocals) who left in november 2006 due to transportation and commitment problems to be replaced by Kurt Malton.
In 2007 the band played over 100 gigs, some summer festivals, an ice hockey stadium and performed a live acoustic set on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. In January of 2008 Craig Ayto joined on guitar, keys and backing vocals and things were looking really good. However In May Craig Left the band and two months later when Tom quit The Librarians came to an end. The Librarians have shared the stage with the following bands: Elliot Minor Golden Silvers The Runners Revenue Parka Rebecca Mohair The Hedrons Kharma 45 koffin kats Sonic Boom Six Mesh 29 and many more
