About Me |
|
| "A little bit of folk, a little bit of country and a whole lot of three-part harmonies add up to make this band one you don't want to miss." - Philly Metro
Marc Silver & The Stonethrowers is acoustic music on a palette of bluegrass & country instrumentation. Lively tempos, gifted soloists, and lyrical ballads characterize the bands sound. The four different vocalists create an engaging interplay of personality and singing styles while Marc's original songs display lyric writing that is reflective & honest. Drawing from the energy and instrumentation of bluegrass, with the addition of the pedal steel guitar, this band can move and captivate folk enthusiasts and casual listeners alike. At the heart of it all, each song conveys a story ripe with emotion, strung along a melody that makes its home in memory. The band’s on-stage chemistry delights audiences with its playful banter and quick-witted commentary. Marc Silver and the Stonethrowers show tremendous joy in playing music together. It is a feeling easily transferred to their audience, venue after venue. |
