SIRE was born in 2004, when Jiben, an unclassifiable soundtrack composer, delivered his raw compositions to an alchemists' quator with collusive pleasures. From the very first rehearsal, words seemed to be on the tip of their tongue, overcome by the presence and solidity of the strong pulsation enhanced by Olivier (bass) and Martin (drum). With such an evidence of their musical affinities, the foundation was there, all that Gaëlle (violin), JC (guitar) and Jiben (lead vocals) had to do was to reach within their soul and the architecture followed. When the words returned, the complicity asserts itself in the musical eclecticism of each, the common graphic and film references. Others may quote their favourite musicians they however still dissect the works of Lynch, Burton or Cronenberg, after instruments keep silent. From the cinema to the theater, there's only one step to the stage for which Sire is definitively done for. Then, without hesitation the group sent their demo to Boston, the location of the famous Dresden Dolls duet, another formation greeted for its theatricality. The response regarding the demo is swift. SIRE is immediately invited for the first part of the Dolls' French tour. After an amazing gig at the Bataclan in Paris, the group begins to enlarge its audience ; touched and surprised by its total originality. Found between the worlds, between classic and strange, purity and sophistication, sharpness and explosion. In summary, SIRE is the "dark side of the pop".The moment came for them to engrave their intentions for the band; they head for the studio during winter 2006 to record a first album under the leadership of François Baurin, already in the levers of number of productions Warner and EMI. The time for Jiben to mix the opus, and the group is back on stage.
