Qui (pronounced Key) first made International Noise as Sony Music’s [Europe] recording artist TriQui Di who from an early age laid her foundation becoming a favorite in concert halls, clubs and festivals in the Talented Mecca of The San Francisco Bay Area.. This native Oakland, CA vocalist, rapper, writer & producers’ ArtistiQ influences run the gamut from one end of the genre to the other, from Jazz to Rock/Pop to Hip Hop. Qui sites living legends/ vocal innovator, pioneers Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Daryl Coley, and Twinkie Clark (of The Clark Sisters) as major influences. Born, schooled, and raised during the HipHop Generation, Qui uses Hip Hop as her foundation in most of(if not all of) her creative processes. First expressing her desire to be an entertainer at the age of 3, Qui has displayed her talents throughout the years, lending her brand of “Alternative Hip-Hop Soul” to other entertainers in the industry. She’s shared the stage with Snoop Dogg, Aaliyah, MC Lyte, Natalie Cole & Van Hunt, Kim Burrell & Daryl Coley just to name a few. Not one to be pigeon-holed, her ventures have also led into stints on radio, television and film, working with such stars as Academy Award Nominee Actor Will Smith, actors Whoopi Goldberg, Ted Danson and Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx. Completely unabashed in her ability to achieve the super stardom she is destined for, Qui is proving with each new endeavor that she is truly one of the World’s and Oakland’s finest!
