Sounds Like:(...) Comme une lampe qu'on frotte afin de voir apparaître non pas un mauvais génie mais un songwriter résolument folk, absolument doué. Une voix en or, (...) Matt ensorcelle dans le calme feutré des petits espaces. Son orientation rock ultra minimaliste est à classer dans les rangs d'un Jeff Buckley ou d'une Tracey Chapman. (...) "Another story begins" se place d'emblée comme un début prometteur, une ode au lyrisme accompli, teinté de blues ("I made up my mind"). Seul en studio et accompagné en live par un batteur aussi discret qu'essentiel, ce dernier caressant d'une frappe légère ses toms, apporte avec conviction sa pierre à l'édifice sans toutefois ébranler le juste équilibre mélodique. Pour tous ceux ne redoutant pas d'être émus: frissons assurés avec le ténébreux "Blows and Carresses" aussi majestueux que l'envol d'un albatros. Tout en finesse donc, il sera difficile de ne pas être touché par l'effleurement bouleversant de Matt' M (...)
